Bauer 709XL Just won it on eBay...some questions

Post by mynameisbob »

Hi, I've just won a Bauer 709XL Profi Set on eBay UK for £80.00

I think its a good deal but...

which filmstocks can I shoot with it. Does it read the ASA notching of 200T and 500T film, what about 64T??

I plan mainly on using 200t and 500t with it though

CHeers!

It reads 40 and 160 only!
You can correct exposure manually though.

I thought i would have to adjust manually...How do i figure out how to do that. How do I compensate properly for 200T film...?

Bob, visit my website and read the page on light metering...you should be good to go. There are 37 pages there so by the time you are done, you should be well versed to start shooting...just start boning up on 35mm photography basics and you should be able to apply that to small format movie making...
My website - check it out...

Hello, mynameisbob. My name is Bob, also. Sounds like you got a good deal on that S709XL.

In addition to Super 8 Man's excellent site, look at the Super 8 Wiki page on the Bauer 709/715 exposure adjustment:
