Post by paul »

I need sound of a car from within the car, driving at say, 50 or 70 miles an hour. Can't find those sound data bases. Can anybody help.

Thanks,

This may sound a bit drastic, but how about taking a recorder inside a car? :D

If it's a modern car you need, there should be no problem; if it's a Model T, you may have to ask around. A modern motorbike can sound like an old car!:(

For recording inside vehicles, a good compressor unit between mike and recorder is usually a must. The dynamic range is usually much more than you realize before trying it.

It's a quite obvious solution yes, but I was thinking about databases from the web.

But you're right.
