It's a cool video. I like the beginning the best, with the footage of the bridge and the pigeon. Are you sure thats really 8mm, or could it be DV with extensive post-production effects?

I think it's pretty dope. And I think there might be a little bit of DV with fx on it, but I also think there's definitely a lot of authentic small-guage film in there. The closeups of MosDef make it seem to me like it's probably Super8....also in some of the shots there's a chunk of dirt in the same spot near the bottom of the frame. It makes me "believe".
There's also what looks to be some "stock" film footage....all in all, very cool video.

A lot of it does look like S8. It's cool that they were able to match up the lyrics pretty well - the overall effect is slightly unreal.
