Using the internet to download a PDF of the Subscription sheet that has already been sent to Dwaynes would allow the internet community to fan out to their local communities and post the sheet in their local camera store.
Hey
Alex, how are the in-store sales going around Los Angeles? I went into the EPFC today and they had them in several different locations--on the counter, under the counter, in a rack. I mean, this place is
ground zero for the Super 8 community in LA. They should be pumping those things out the door with every person who enters the place.
Tim
They are having some success, they've sold around 10 so far. I don't know what they are selling them for however, did you happen to notice what price?
It's great advertising that they have them sitting all over the place.
On another note, Santos had the Small Format Magazine subscription topic successfully removed from the Cinematography.com Super-8 forum.
Locations so far include...
Camarillo Camera (Ventura County), News Mart, Bel Air Camera (UCLA/Westwood), Spectra Film & Video (North Hollywood), Yale Labs (North Hollywood), Echo Park Film Center, (Echo Park, just north of Downtown Los Angeles) and coming soon, The Darkroom (Northridge, CA)....
These locations cover quite a bit of Los Angeles. Samy's camera is a logical location as well, but I haven't been there yet.
Please subscribe first and then consider the above locations for purchasing a second magazine (perhaps at a reduced rate, maybe not, depending on where you go) to give to a friend or so that you can preserve your first copy in good condition.
