I'm so ticked off, in my haste to get the shots of the Landmark tower implosion I didn't check all my camera settings. Yup, that's right. My indoor filter was on and I filmed it all outside. I used up about 13 seconds of film too. Really ticks me off because half of my contribution is going to be way out of wack. Maybe it can be fixed in post?

What you mean is the filter switch was at the "bulb" for tungsten filming... if this is the case the filter would be out(correct me if i'm wrong anyone)... not a huge problem, i have shot a roll of K40 like this... not a huge difference, but write it down on the log sheet with the cart so i remember. Good work on getting the implosion over the 13 seconds :P ... you got any pics?

Got everything in place for my shoot now.. my actor just got a back injury performing in LORD OF THE RINGS... but hope to be in good shape by the weekend. It's gonna be dope.

couple questions for you guys:
1. do you want a slate at the head and end of the 10 feet stating who shot what?
2. 10 feet at 18fps is about 80 seconds, non?

Thanks fellas,

Yeah, my wife had the digital camera there and I also had a miniDV camera running on it. We were about 200 yards away with a nice clean shot.

Here's a clip from my miniDV cam, the 8mm cam was pretty much the same angle.

you need quicktime 7 to view it.

Thanks fellas,
Just a slate on the front will do.
Isn't it 30 seconds at 24fps... so 18fps is 35 seconds.

Narh,, if it is 24fps, it will be 30 seconds

But if it is 18fps, it will be 40 seconds.

I got this from the film calculator.

right-o.

5 people, 10 feet each, 50 feet in a roll...

200 seconds/5 = 40seconds

challenging.

Update: Im supposed to get samples today or tomorrow. They'd like me to order two dozen so we still need a few takers for the official PTC t-shirts.

I'm planning on shooting the rest of my part of the PTC this weekend. I'm planning on shooting around Fort Worth, some in the stockyards (cowtown) the skyline and the steam train that still runs through Fort Worth. My footage should be pretty cool. Then I'll mail it on to the next person.

YES - thanks. Got it earlier in the week and did my 10 feet yesterday in the beautiful Botanical Gardens here at UCLA. I'm using a Canon 814 AZ for the first time -- I hope it comes out ok!

Now...I need Scott – Harrisburg USA -- his address. Scott are you out there?

That sounds good. Cant wait to see it all. Cart #1 is about done now???

What do we anticipate the estimate of the final length of the edited project will be??? I've started assembling some music so I wont hold it up too much at the end while we add a sound track.
