Hi!
DigVid and I are currently working on a software/hardware combination that will automate the sound synch issue. Hopefully we'll have something practical at the beginning of the year. As it stands, all you have to do is find a synch reference at the beginning and end of each 50 foot section and then stretch or shrink your audio to fit. Works pretty good, actually, and we've handled a bit of sound footage this way. However, the new stuff we're working on should make it a breeze AND allow people to shoot synch sound really easy.

Wow, you really pulled this thread out of the archives! Why don't you re-post your question as a new thread directed to Roger himself? I think you'll get more views and answers. I don't do any sound film transfers, so I can't really help you. All of my sound is wild and added later.
