There is the Kodak Instamatic M22 with a 14mm 2.7 lens and manual f stop setting, and apparantly rocksteady images .. but 18fps only.
I had one long time ago and the image quality is stunning from such a cheap camera. One major design fault though, is the plastic drive gear which disintergrates due to age and is common among Kodak super 8 cams, avoid them.

thanks for mentioning it, but the focal range i use most is 6-15mm, so that's not much help... i have a hard time to even get used to cameras with 8mm minimal focal lenghts :/

Just curious, for what reason; I suppose to get a lot of depth in your image. But does that, mean that for close ups you move the camera very close to (say) a face?

well, it's hard to explain... it basically has to do with distance and perspective. a closeup shot with an 8mm lens from 1m distance (talking super8 here) will give a completely different impression to one shot with a 80mm lens from 10m, because you can actually guess how far away the camera was.. the size of the head might be about the same, but not the feeling. a long lens looks more spectacular (due to shallow DoF) and helps to isolate an object/person, but to me it's somehow unnatural since you'll never see this perspective with your eyes. also, i feel strange if i'm too far away from my main characters... and last but not least, i try not to use too many close ups anyway.

a focal lenght of 6mm equals about 35mm in still photography, 15mm would be about 100mm.. i hardly ever use anything outside of that range, except for a 28mm sometimes (that's why i wish some super8 cam had 5.5 or 5mm minimal focal lenght)

but basically it comes down to personal taste ;)
