Widescreen do say that it is out-of-date stock in their news letter and it gives that 1930s look which of course isn't always hollywood quality. Home movies back then could be sketchy too.
Why not shoot color and transfer to monchrome after, works the same you know!
nope, not me.. I'm using foma chemicals. I've been looking into mixing my own kodak b/w reversal formulas, D-94A, R10, etc etc but I still need to invest in some equipment before I do that (digital "precision" scale mainly..)
Someone else on this forum was using D-19 which is readily available.. I might try that in the future.
One other thing I'll probably try soon is get in touch with the local Kodak movie film lab.. I think they process 16mm B/W reversal, so maaaaybe they can spare some D-94a etc.. already mixed.... lol
