How could Kodak be making the carts any different now to how they were made in the 70s?

Are they just re-using bad carts?
No. The cameras are now 30 years old and haven't been serviced ever (or properly). No other changes.
That may be the case for some cameras but we get lots and lots of jittery footage from cameras that have been expertly refurbished to better than factory specs. Also, it is a fact that the carts did or do have a problem. Kodak France admitted there was a manufacturing error for several years. It took Scot in Australia leaning on them to admit to it. The issue is whether they have really fixed the problem or are just waiting for super 8 to die on the vine. Hard to pin Kodak down on issues.

You can believe me that I always have a bad feeling when commenting a post knowing that we also distribute the product. I really try not to use this forum for advertising purposes - the informations, opinions and experiences I get here are too valuabe for me (and of course my company). Don´t want to step on somebody´s feet and spam this forum with "hidden offers".

Does this sound all a bit hypocritical? [-o< Maybe, but it´s the truth...

OK, I remember this now. However I am sure that some of my own stability problems have been caused by camera rather than cartridge. Mabey I am wrong.

What was the actual fault with the cartridges? what part or aspect was not being manufactured properly? Was this revealed?
