If you want somewhere with interesting decor to film, a weird vibe and don't mind sitting on a coffin and expensive-ish drinks try the Ben Crouch Tavern....think it is on Wardour street.

Yes Wardour Street is media central, good idea.
( Sonic, Camberwell is OK if you can't get into Chelsea! )

chelsea is probabl;y my first choice, but i visited there, and they all seem like a bunch of snobby arrogant gits!

Maybe the urban grittiness of camberwell or goldsmiths is better!

If you want a bit less lefty political dogma and a bit more career development Goldsmiths is probably the one to go for.

(Though we are getting off topic here, so I think back to London meeting places  )

Hey!

I am also a Super 8 / Sonic Youth guy that lives in England!

In fact I got my first Super8 camera the same week I bought my first Sonic Youth Record!!! So the 2 are synonymous for me!!!

However I'm more prone to listen to My Bloody Valentine or Slowdive when shooting Super 8... ethereal music for an ethereal format...

anywhere that's easy to get to and central in London sounds like a cool meeting place for me!

This is gonna be fun! (I like Sonic Youth too by the way.)

Can someone please take the responsibility to simply choose a place to meet? We don't require much, but a place to sit and a beer would be nice. \:D/

Any pub would be perfect I guess. Let's go for Wednesday the 5th!

Let me know!

Only problem with the 5th is that, a bit like christmas, is that the British are expected to be with their families for bonfire night. Maybe all you single guys and girls should go have fun anyway  while we wave the sparklers.

Ok we'll settle on the 6th So that's fixed. Now all we need is a Pub near an underground station (to make it easy for our foreign visitors to find)

Hey there Andreas and co.

I've been offline for a while - good to be back though. I'm at film school just outside london now and I'd love to meet up with you guys on bonfire night. I'll be Super8ing the fireworks in Regents Park, hopefully. I'll think of the name of a good pub soon, and let y'all know (I can't remember any names at the moment.)

All the best

Just couldn´t resist :-) - "I WANT IT ALL" (Queen?)

Remember to bring your (Chinon? XL-S) S8 cam with some 500 ASA! /160/40/sound? maybe....?
