A confession. I have been worrying about getting sulphuric acid at more than 10% concentrate as it seemed an expensive way of buying the stuff. Anyhow I read the process a bit more carefully the other day. Basically the mixture was 5% concentrate with some other bits added. Then the bit I had not noticed. this is then diluted 9:1! So instead of my 500ml bottle making 1 l of working mixture as I first thought it actually makes 10! So now I have no excuse for not trying reversal processing.

Concerning non spiral tank methods. On my site, link below, then is a scanned in copy of a small book on home processing with some pictures of open winding procesors.

One very simple way is to make a frame to fit in a 10x8 deveoping tray, wing the film on emulsion out, and do it in the dark. I suspect this was a field technique used pre-video days when the intrepid explorer/researcher wanted quick results and only had a darkroom tent. Probably fine for negative processing, a bit of a chore reversing as well but no doubt it could be done!

And the Italians. They are either all short sited or just like reading the small print on the number plate of the car in front.
