Sadly I have been informed by Parcelforce, whose nearest depot is Plymouth about 70 miles away, they sub contracted to another carrier in Camborne about 15 miles away for delivery of my parcel.
An employee of that carrier failed to deliver all his parcels and a police investigation is under way.
I doubt if Parcelforce will use that firm again.
I can claim compensation from Parcelforce but the location of my parcel and several others is unknown.
So if anyone has a spare Braun SB1 Editor they don't need let me know or any skip hunters in my area let me know if you come across my parcel.
I put this post on because it was not DHL's fault but Parcelforces who I will get compensation from and the Sender will be compensated by DHL.
So its quite simple really if you are a major UK delivery company, Parcelforce, and you are entrusted with deliveries you DONT pass them onto some, how can I put this, some company who employees steal the goods.
As Ian Hislop would say "allegedly"
DHL - problem with package from Germany

Fianlly a subject I can claim to be an expert on! I worked in the airline side of DHL for almost 18 years and can attest to the notion that I would not send anything of importance through its system. When Deutsch Post bought DHL and then merged it with Airborne, the first thing they did was fire all their good couriers to replace them with the cheapest contractors they could find. The hub in Wilmington (previously Cincinnati) uses mostly the lowest form of pond scum I.E. cheapest labor they can dredge up. Theft and damage is commonplace. Sure they make a big effort to weed out problems, but do you want to take a chance? I once was involved with outfitting one of our aircraft with a hidden camera. Only the head of security and mysefl knew about it. It was used to capture the employees who had been ripping off diamonds and other jewels out of the shipments in the belly of the aircraft... When you have a good paying job with benefits you are less likely to jepardize it or risk jail time... UPS and FedEx pays a whole lot more to their loaders and couriers. Pay your nickle and take your pick.
