You know what's insane? One of my cameras has a 500x digital zoom. All you see is video noise, there's absolutely no detail at all.
As for 2001, I'm reading the Making of Kubrick's 2001 and while there isn't very much about the actual making of the movie, some of the viewer's letters to Kubrick are freakin' funny.
Very interesting film description on ebay!

Honestly, you need some sort of artificial assistance to get through the way-out-arty star gate sequence at the end of 2001.Angus wrote:I have been told by someone who was there, that hippies used to trip to 2001: A Space Odyssey.

I always felt that the ending was really weak. Nothing like the book. You could easily take out all that timed exposure crap and have a better movie because of it. Not that 2001 was a bad movie, but the slit scans are a bit much.

I don't find that...but then I also seem to enjoy music that some people tell me needs an altered state of mind.reflex wrote:Honestly, you need some sort of artificial assistance to get through the way-out-arty star gate sequence at the end of 2001.Angus wrote:I have been told by someone who was there, that hippies used to trip to 2001: A Space Odyssey.
As for the book bettering the film...I'd have to agree.
The government says that by 2010 30% of us will be fat....I am merely a trendsetter
