Not likely. The normal 8mm spool is a tiny 2" diameter one with different holes in the middle than a 16mm spool. The bigger rolls come from Kodak on either a 2" or 3" diameter plastic core for handling in total darkness.

Hmmm, I see what you mean. That doesn't look at all good. Could be time to add some K40 to my K25 stockpile.....

Hi, me too need to add a few rolls of 16mm k40 to the 50 or so of 16mm k25s in the fridge. My biggest concern is, all current 16mm k40 that i have seen has an expiry date of 3/2006 which is the same as super 8 k40, kodak could shut the lab to 16mm processing in September if they wish. And dont forget, kodak motion picture is a different department to 35mm consumer kodachrome. The end of the financial year is upon us soon, i have a very nasty taste in the mouth that kodak will announce grim news soon. Construction of the Kodachrome coffin is complete, we are justing waiting for lowering into the ground to take place.

J.Schwind sells R8 100 ft. K40 on 16mm spools. These will work with no problem in a double perf. camera or a single perf camera. I will also sell 400ft spools on a core for $135.00. The latest expiration date that I have for KMA 40 is March 2007.

Hi, just received a letter from kodak advising that 16mm k40 will be axed in Europe once all current stocks are exhausted. Which at present is mid to late march 2006 depending on demand. Stock up people.

Ithink this summer I better start shooting all my 25 foot spools of K25 and K40 Reg. 8 in freezer. Might not be able to get Duwayne processing in 3 years if Kodak starts pulling the Kodachrome plug this summer.

Same opinions goes to all my K25 35 mm. slide film, also.

Kodak just wants to get out of film....period.

Their recent crappy decision to kill off black and white chemistry and paper by end of 2006 is an example.

Kodak will not exist in its present form by 2010.

So you better start shooting, boys :( :(
