where can I find an eyecup ?

Does anyone know where I can locate a new eyecup piece for a Bolex 8mm camera ? I own a S-1 model and don't have, I made a homemade one using black duct tape, but would like to have a regular eyecup. I tryed emailing a gentleman who had a website at fortunecity, but his email address doesn't work any longer. The website is nice , and shows the new eyecups, made with new materials, and not latex. But for some reason I can't contact him, as the mail is returned back to me, and he seems to be the only person who offers replacement eyecups.

I know the particular site you are refering to. It's been dead for several years. You can get a replacement eyecup from Chambless. The ones for the Bolex Rex models should fit the 8mm cameras.

I'm just interested in: is there any other method or idea I can repalace an eyecup practically - and cost nothing? Eg. something which we do not use as an eyecup but we can make of it an eyecup, with no cost - I don't know something which probably we use our everyday life but never mentioned to use for that purpose... Any idea?

I was one of the unfortunate saps to purchase 2 eyecups from that clown without waiting to see what anyone else thought of them first. They were pathetic. The material was bad, it rubbed off on your fingers like peeling skin, they smelled like shit and to top it off they didn't even fit. The first one ripped in half as I was killing my fingers trying to get it on. I've tried to forget ever buying them but alas it has not worked.

I bought one of those small soft vinyl ear (or baby) syringe bulbs from Wal-Mart ($2.50), cut off about half, reamed the other end so it would fit snug over the viewfinder eye piece, and it works ok. It doesn't look that bad either.

Before you buy, open up the boxes and get the soft squishy type. After you cut it and size it to your liking, you can smooth off the rough ends with a grinder. Here's what mine looks like:
