With the FICA method, you have to be very careful about equilibrating the film properly before it is sealed in the foil bag. If stored at higher temperature, the sealed container traps the harmful decomposition byproducts (e.g., acetic acid) within the film.

Most archives are moving to "vented" storage containers, or using Molecular Sieves in sealed containers.
