Post by HuntingtonGault »

What's the difference between the camera body of the 2008 and the 4008?

2-50fps (2008) vs 2-70fps (4008)
Different lenses came with the 2008 (8-64 & 8-48 vs 8-64, 6-66). (manual only zoom too on the 2008 hence the 4008*ZM*)
No backwinding facility as on (most of) the 4008zmIIs.

probably a few other things too.

Excuse-me but the 4008 ZM II DOES have film rewind option AND motorized/manual zoom. I know because I own it…
The 4008 series (S, ZM, ZM II, ZM IV, etc.) are not all identical, though they often share common specs.

That sentence was written to say the 2008 does not have backwinding...

and the body is a different shape on the 2008 compared to the 4008.

Yeah, but this was wrong and confusing. You have to make a difference between the ZM's and the ZM II.

What I meant as super8man pointed out was that the 2008 doesn't have backwinding while the later 4008zmII's (which appear to be the most common of the 4008s) do.

But yeah there is a whole range of 4008s with slightly different specs and lenses.
