Hi,
I have miles of movies my dad shot during the nineteen fifties; all were shot with a three lens Brownie, and they still look beautiful. I have that camera now and make my own films with it once in a while 8) , brownies are cheap and simple. Do what your budget allows. However, when you consider that you can get an old Bolex P1 for around $100.00 on Ebay you might want to think about it. the Bolex is much kooler  It just depends on how much you want to spend. Try the K-40, If you can get some cinechrome 25 for outdoors. Good Luck ! ! !

It depends but you can hear/feel when it starts winding down and can just stop or keep going to it winds down.

My bell & Howell Camera from the late 50's last about 36 seconds on a full wind, it is also set up so when the camera runs down to a full stop it maintains the proper speed right to the last frame.
