Not true. I asked them about it recently, and they said that it wasn't available here because nobody in Australia could process it. Not long after, I found out that FilmPlus could do it (not too surprisingly, given that it uses the same chemicals as Tri-X).

I thought about pointing this out to them, but never got around to it (largely because nobody else here seemed interested in having Plus-X available locally). But...

I'll have the details soon but count on PLUS-X being available soon. When I have the details in a few days I'll pass on so you can spread the word.

Elizabeth Pharmacy, is that on the corner of Swanston and latrobe? If it is they are no longer a kodak place but a Fuji film centre. Its a shame coz thats where I used to get my K40 and give it to them to put through the Kodak internal mail.. or thats what he said..

Inverell is basically west of Glen Innes, west of Coffs Harbour. Up towards the Qld border.

xeno_bass, it seems that the Elizabet pharmacy is the cheapest in melb to buy K40. You can get the same price from Kodak but they have a minimum of 5 rolls policy.

I also asked what the deal with 64T was, and she said they arent sure if they are going to bring it in to Australia since no one can develop it here. So I asked her if I could get a test roll. So now Im waiting for a call from some special person who authorises it.

Another thing I found was this shop made reference on a links website, any of you WA guys verify if this place still exists?

I just searched for them on White Pages without any results, so I'd guess not...

Nice idea about the list. Are you interested in including transfer facilities? Two that I know of in WA are Halse Photo Service and the Film & Television Institute, but I haven't tried either.

yep transfer places will be good too. But I'd like to add some comments about some of the places, ie who is good or better or worse etc.

I'll add those to the list.

martin, Elizabeth is the way to go!

As for Piccadily, I fear they moved on some time ago. Believe it used to be a Father/Son team...had some good Super 8 gear, probably sold most stuff to students. Camera Electronic carries Super 8 gear but its really only used in emergency situations, if you know what I mean.

Re 64T, I can't understand why they'd say that. Just bring it in, we'll worry about the processing

They must have sold the most K40 out of all Aus retailers so they'll need something to fill the gap.

I've been waiting to hear back from Kodak (refer above posts) so I could update you all re Plus-X but haven't heard a sausage yet so I'll have to chase them up with the phone. Anyway, when I spoke with Kodak last week, they indicated that there was an establishment called Meg Labs (don't quote me on the spelling) that was weighing up the pros/cons of getting a continuous E6 processor.

As you all know there are a few places on the east coast that have such machines but none of them, much to Kodak's embarrasement/disappointment/whatever won't put ANY Super 8 stock thru their machines.

More when I have it...

I phoned up kodak the other day, although they are looking to negotiate with an australian lab to process the film, this may either take awhile or not at all.

i phoned filmplus, they will not be processing T64 as it is the "E-6" process.

apparently there is lots of k40 left in Sydney.
