but what I'm saying above makes sense right?
both of your comments make perfect sence to me...

if you have a TTL light meter (through the lens) the ND filter will affect the lightmeter just as much as the film, so the difference between the two will be the same as without filter.

if you have a seperate exposure lens, you can even out the difference the way you mentioned.

i might have a warped up sense too though

the 310 will set 500t cart to 250t if you open the dayligh fil notch. you will have to filter down the lens to close on the 500. the separate electric eye must not be filtered in this case.

the cam, will believe it is 250 down to where it goes wide open and the 500 film can easily live with that - at this time it will have to take what it gets but even with 200 film this camera knocks of blistering exposures at night time and it takes a lot to get the under exposure warning with a 200/160 notched v200t cart. (85 filter removed). think i got some analog samples with the fuji f500t but it might have been nicked in the bundespost by some idiot believing they were new carts so i may not get it back. may have another close sample.

I've had great success with both Forde and Yale. Remember that you'll have to transfer the negative to video. I recommend CinePost in Atlanta for transfer because they do a good job at about half the price as Yale.
