Hey MTV, put on a "Don't take my Kodachrome Away"

MTV once played a full day of Music Videos made by their own viewers to a Madonna Song called "True Blue". Perhaps a film fest using the Kodachrome song by Paul Simon would probably prove even more interesting.

Yes, I'vwe had an idea like that as well. And Zlacza has also proven what I've always thought about it, it has the potential to move you to tears.

Why not combine it with the Kodachrome Summer of 2005 idea? All those films resulting from that, cut together, some 'regular' K40 footage that'll be made, some shooting and projecting stuff like in Zlacza's vid, then cut and synch it all to Paul Simon's song? Have you noticed actually that Mama don't take my Kodachrome away is 3:20, just like 50ft/15m@18fps? ;) It's just that I'd prefer a vid without flickering and jitter.

I could really imagine it, for example that piano sound when someone strokes over an amount of keys quickly in one stroke, and for the visual we could have a camera that's shot very close, turning quickly to the camera taking that clip, synched to that piano sound.

Very cool video. I could see a 100 different versions using the Paul Simon Song. Heck, if they can play the Madonna Song "True Blue" over and over for a day, there's gotta be a cable station that would get behind this idea and simply promise to play the first 100, or the best 100 videos, all shot of course, on Kodachrome 40.
