Good day :]
I have a bit of a problem concerning my Super 8.
I just received it in the mail yesterday and it seemed to be working when I inserted the battery.
However, when I looked through the lens, it was real foggy. I could barely make out images while outside. The red flag went across the left side of the lens, implying there wasn't enough light. I think this is due to it being foggy, it was day time when I tested this out.
Would it be wise to unscrew the plastic behind where the cartridge rests and see if I can fit a Q-tip all the way to the front of the camera to clean the eye lens? It's not the big one, but the one above it from which you see from. It appears to have dust and a little mildew inside of it.
Or would this be a job for the professionals? I didn't spend much on it, so I'm hoping this is a do-at-home type of job.
Thanks,
Karleen

I should have included those details :]
It is a GAF XL/2 Sound Super 8. Here is a picture of an identical one:

The dust/mildew is in the top left eye, above the film lens. I believe this is a Parallex viewfinder.
Hope that helps.
