Well, nothing I have will do that. WinDVD doesn't even see it. That is the program I use to provide WMP with the ability to play SVCD files. It'll play full screen.
VD, no; WMP, no; WinDVD, no. TMPGEnc, no;
What third party programs do it?

I have thought about this before, but have not really had time to explore it much. I would be reluctant to actually use the serial or parallel ports, because some new computers don't even have them. I was thinking that the joystick port or a USB port would be a bettern candidate.

The USB port is actually much better (I even used Bold on this one :D ), so all power to you if you can do that - take your time of course, but as long as you have it in mind - this could be neat.

i don't understand the question. "do" what? the programs you mention aren't quicktime based, so they obviously can't use any quicktime features. what is the exact problem you're trying to solve?
