Just bought a B&H Model 8125 for twenty bucks

Post by Scotness »

Yes down from $95 at a clearance sale - I think it's a Double Super 8 camera - but could it be Double 8 - I think there was such a thing wasn't there?- and if so how do I tell the difference? I first thought it was 16mm then I saw the small gate - and the instructions printed on the spool to flip it. It's spring wound and in alright condition - can anyone tell me anymore about these - I haven't been able to trawl up anything on the net about this specific model, does anyone have a manual by any chance? Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated

thanks

Definitely an 8mm camera since Bell & Howell never made a Double Super 8. It probably takes double 8mm film though B&H did make a few 8mm magazine cameras. If you could post a picture of the inside I could be sure. Plenty of fresh Double 8mm spool film available. Check out this link for film
