I recently purchased this Nikon R-10, on ebay:

Ok, so i know i was taking a gamble  . . . but i knew if it worked fine the buy would pay off 8)
I looked at the photos on ebay and thought to myself, "yeah, looks like its in pretty good condition . . might be worth a go". So, i bid, and bid, and bid, until i was out on top. The highest bidder. Woo Hoo!
Well, what can i say. Im not smiling now. I recieved the camera this morning (having to pay £25 customs charges. grrr

Well on to a better note, there was a glimmer of hope at first. When i did put the batteries in I found that both fast and slow zoom (electronic zoom that is) worked fine, and when i looked into the viewfinder, i could see a little red circle light up at the bottom, and when i pushed the trigger in half way i noticed the meter needle move (i think :? ).
So, all may not have been lost. Or so i thought.
When i went up to my room, and put in a cartridge of Tri X, i pushed down on the trigger, only to find nothing happen. Nothing at all. And now the zoom only moves electronically on the Slow setting. The meter does nothing, and that little red light has dissapeared!
So.
That is my situation.
Probaly silly of me to buy it in the first place i know, but i tend to be impulsive like that when im "ebaying" .
Well, any suggestions would be apreciated!
Thanks,
Steven.
