Kodachrome EUROPE mailer

Post by matt5791 »

Hi there,

A couple of things. I bought some Kodachrome 35mm slide film the other day and the mailer now directs the user to send direct to Switzerland - interesting. No UK address (or any of the other countries, except Germany) given.

THe second thing is that I opened one film to find no mailer in the box! - anyone know what the procedure is here? shal I put two films in one mailer from another pack, even though they say dont do this, or shall I use a larger post envelope for two films and include the mailer inside?

Thanks
Matt

Hi Matt,
About a month ago I had some slides back with a green slip saying the same thing. I called Kodak in Hemel Hempstead UK (01442 261122) to check and they confirmed that this applies to Super8 film as well. It may be worth calling them to see about how best to mail two rolls of film with only one mailer.

if the film itself says "film price includes processing" the mailer is useless!
I have sent many super 8 and slide films without the mailers and never had problems.

I just posted a large jiffy bag on Tuesday with four kodachromes inside, to the Switzerland address. Two Super 8's and two rolls of 35mm. I used the mailers, just stuffed them into the envelope, each with the address completed, but stamps only on the outside envelope. I'll announce when it returns.......
