Dodcap 1.30 Status Report

Well, the saga continues. I have updated the website now with a new version of Dodcap, dubbed 1.31.

It addresses most of the problems that have been brought to my attention so far. I do plan to release a non-Beta release within a couple of weeks that addresses anything further that comes up. Here is what I addressed in 1.31:

- Fixed "Preview..." button; it was broken for some capture devices
- Set "24 fps on NTSC Video" "Interpolated" scheme back to 2:3
- Reduced size of Batch Processing Module
- Reduced size of Media Player and added 25%, 50%, 75%, 100% options
- Removed filter that prevented using DV VCR's as a capture device

Unresolved issues are:

- User reported excessive file size after pulldown; I haven't been able to repeat this
- User reported wrong pulldown scheme applied after installing DirectX9; I have also been unable to repeat this. It seems to work fine on my system with DirectX9.

I'll look into these things further.

One more thing to note: If you use the Media Player at any resolution other than 100%, you may not be able to identify interpolated frames properly.

Maybe third time's the charm...?

I put yet another update out there to address ongoing issues. The latest version is now Dodcap 1.32 Beta. It addresses the following issues:

- Preview window sometimes didn't work unless you resized it slightly
- After installing DirectX9, Dodcap Media Player didn't show interpolation

These issues are now (I hope) fixed.
