kodachrome pre-paid processing question.
i recently purchased a case of k40 online, and unlike my last k-40 films, these ones have pre-paid processing envelopes that are not in english. so where do i send these to? it lists a dozen processing labs on the rear, from australia, belgium ... france .... suisse ... sverige to UK.
do i need to ship these directly to switzerland so i do not need to pay for the processing? if i ship to dwayne's, then they will charge me their rate for processing, thus wasting the value of the mailers, correct?
a couple months back, i had a friend take back my other k40 film, and drop it off at walmart, and then when they received it, they shipped it down to me. but with these rolls, i would just like to ship direct if possible. also, i have inserted each on into their own envelope, but i have 20 of them, so i assume placing them all in one package and shipping them to switzerland will be ok? also, should i include some postage for the return trip?
thanks.

I’ll try my best to answer most of your questions since I love K40 and I have always send my film to Switzerland. There is only one address that still works on the mailer and that is the one to Switzerland.

You only pay for the shipping to Switzerland. The pre-paid mailer covers the cost of developing and the shipping back to you. It cost me about $5.50CAD Airmail to ship to Switzerland, and I get it back developed in 2 weeks. I have always sent my film to Switzerland and they have always done a great job. I can’t comment on dwayne's because I’ve never used them, so I don’t know if they take those mailer.
I think you can send multiple cartridges in one big envelope as long as each cart is in its pre-paid mailer with Kodak address on it and your address. They send each one back in the pre-paid mailers the cartridges came in. They just cut off the part of the mailer that has the Kodak address on it. It will come back to you looking like this with your developed film inside.

I was told by the nice lady who runs the lab in Swizerland to post my films to the London (Wimbledon) address - since I am in the UK. THat works best for Kodak.
If you want the rush service you send direct to Swizerland with 8 euros (or five pounds) and it comes back within a week.
I am finding turnaround for the Wimbledon address is now about two weeks. Kodak would prefer you don't send films direct to the lab unless you are paying for the quick processing.

Well, sorry to add confusion but I have just had a set of Kodachrome slides back which had a green slip inside from Kodak Photo Service SA.
It stated that all future Kodachrome film should be sent direct to the Switzerland address. I called the number suggested on the slip (0208 544 0055) but is was unobtainable  , a search of kodak.com as the slip also suggests didn't help :? . Finally I called Kodak in Hemel Hempstead (01442 261122) and they confirmed that this applies to Super8 film as well.
It may be worth others trying to find as well just to confirm the situation.

Kodak mailers, mailed from the U.S. are now sent to District Photo in Maryland. Their toll-free number is 1-800-345-6973. Make sure you put a label over the old Fairlawn, New Jersey address on the mailer or it will take longer for the Post Office to reroute it. The address is:

Eric,
My mailers look like the ones in the picture above. They don't have any specific address on them. HEre is what I do:
1) Shoot each cart and place in its specific mailer.
2) Then wright your return address on each mailer because they cut that part out when they mail it back to you.
3) Then put all your mailers in a big envelope and mail to
Kodak Premium Processing
P.O Box 7000
Failrlawn NJ. 07410 -7000
I've heard this place closed down, but they must have some way of dealing with it if this is the case because the last time I sent K40 to them (3 or 4 months ago, I got it back no problem.
I don't have a clue about sending K40 to the Swiss - I've never done that.
Hope this helps,
Steve

The Fair Lawn NJ facility is closed, and you really shouldn't use it anymore. Kodak apparently forwards it elsewhere if you mail cartridges there.

As of the fall of 2004, Kodak posted a new address for processing mailers.

Unfortunately, the page that used to have this info on it on Kodak's site seems to have been deleted. It was
http://www.kodak.com/global/en/service/ ... 1kic.shtml
Now I can't turn up any mention of the Beltsville MD address on Kodak's website. I'd suggest calling the (800) 345-6973 number and asking.

Actually I used to send my K40 directly to Dwaynes and had been happy with the service and quality, but recently the quality has gone way downhill. Discolored spots and lines ( not blue lines but rather water stain like) have been appearing on processed film. I tried to troubleshoot the problem with them, even sent frame grabs of spots and the original film back for inspection, but no final solution.
So rather than give up K40 I decided to go the mailer route, especially when I heard they were now being sent to Switzerland. I did some research and found the above address and phone number, no thanks to Kodak. I called it and was told to send the mailer to MD and it would be sent on to Switzerland for processing. I just sent a test roll on Saturday.
