How good is the Bauer 709XL?

Post by newsuper8er »

Hey everyone,

If any one knows much about these cameras, any advice would be very helpful!

Thanks,

Steven.

these were taken with the 715 xl, which has the angenieux lens. the 709 is the same except w/different lens. excellent, heavy, sturdy camera with all the features and some quirks -- the odd way you can't lock in the current exposure reading w/o some effort, the strange control setup...

(i'd say search the archive about it, but i know how hard it is to search for number/letter combos like "715 xl"...)

EDIT: now that i think about it, i guess these aren't that relevant since the 709 images would have the characteristics of its' lens. oh well... ;)

The Bauer 709 XL is an excellent camera. I own both 709 and 715 and I see no noticeable difference between the two lenses. It's just that the 709 lacks the 715's powerful zoom but is finally lighter. I just love this camera... :D

Are you going to post the same question for all cameras you are considering to buy?
Kind regards,
