Is there a Canon remote release apart from the RS 3 or RS 60 which I can use with the Canon 1014xls?

I'm not sure if you're wanting to use a cable release or a remote control, but you can use a cheap microphone that has an off/on switch and a 3/32" audio jack in cameras that have remote control jack.
Someone else posted that idea on this forum awhile ago and it works with my cameras. Obviously this is aslo much cheaper and easier than tracking down a brand specific remote control.
