Well....
This was a horrible day. The shuttle Columbia blew up upon reentering the earth's atmosphere. Being an avid space enthusiast i'm really saddened. May the 7 astronauts aboard rest in peace. They lived my dreams by going into space. My heart is with their families.

Someday when mankind is able to move beyond the finiteness of Earth and utilize the infinite resources and territories of space, it will be because people like these risked and sometimes lost their lives.
Space flight is a dangerous thing involving tremendous releases of energy and entry into perhaps the most hostile environment mankind has yet experienced. These brave people knew it but took their chances in order to live extraordinary lives.
These people are no different than those who lost their lives in the first oceangoing ships or the first aircraft. They are pioneers who are pushing forward the boundaries of the human experience.
May every one of us find something as meaningful in our own lives, and like them have the courage to pursue our dreams.
