NIZO 6080-Fog film when eye not pressed against the eyepiece

Post by JIM DUNN »

Does anyone know if, when shooting with the remote and nobody's eye is pressed against the eyepiece, it has to be covered to prevent light leakage that will fog film? I know some camera eyepieces close automatically when rolling with no eye to it, and some have a little silde switch to block the light. I haven't seen anything that looks like that on the camera. Anybody know?.....Thanks, JIM

If your camera has SLR viewfinding then you do have to cover the eyepiece to prevent fogging. If the camera does not have a switch to provide this I use a small piece of gaffer tape.
