Sticky Sankyos

I've got two Sankyos and they both have a similar problem. I have an ES 44XL, and an EM 30XL. The 44XL has trouble advancing the film like the gears need lubrication. It will shoot fine then slowdown and stop. The 30XL sometimes does not advance every time when on single frame mode. Can I open my camera up and fix this problem?
