I have got some Provia carts, one is 100ASA and 2 are 400ASA.
I plan to shoot on of the 400s soon.
Just need get an optional 80B lens filter I think to make it match tungsten light in addition to daylight.
Probably start shooting in mid February.
If it turns out satisfactory I will send it to Andreas for WP transfer so stills will be available.

Very surprising!
Did you mean Fujichrome Provia 100F Professional (RDPIII) & Provia 400F Professional (RDPIII)? Those stocks are for still photo! But in factS8 Booster wrote:I have got some Provia carts, one is 100ASA and 2 are 400ASA.

Provia 100F it´s a little bit less grainy and has more resolivng power (140 lines per mm. maximun) than K-40! According with Fuji´s Technical Specifications.
Really I would like to see some pics of Provia 100F Super 8 stock and then compare it with K-40 stock!

Carlos. (Very anxious)

Hi Carlos.
Yes this is the actual film material.
It was split, perforated and cartridged by PRO8mm, from 35mm as far as I know.
It is supposed to be finer grained than the K40 8 vs 9 so I really look forward to see the results too. I hope to get it transferred on Andreas´s WP when it is finished and I will post some stills then.

Provia results
Yes we have been wanting to see the results from this for quite a long time.
However, just remember that a still film emulsion may not make a better motion picture emulsion. Kodak made serious tests with their T-Max black and white stock which turned out to be more grainy when used as a motion picture stock than the old Plus-X motion picture stock. They also tried years ago to use their Technical Pan extremely fine-grained and extreme resolution black and white still film, which also turned out disappointing when used as a motion picture stock. If successful, Technical Pan would have made an ideal stock for shooting S-8mm or 16mm for blowing up to 35mm. Point being that still film specifications do not necessarily equate to equal motion picture film specs. I do like the idea of trying different things to add to the film making fun. And like I have said before, grain to me is not the only important attribute for a film stock, so even if Provia turns out grainer, it still might make for an interesting stock.

I am pretty sure you are right about this so I am curios about the result.
It appears that Fuji actually only sells one reversal motionP stock which seem to the same as the Velvia still film: Velvia RVM EI-50.
