broken Nizo
i posted something about my Nizo and its broken light meter (the needle dont move)
Do u think that the auto exposure stilll works, even if the needle has broken, fallen off or whatever??
the camera suffered a knock, and the lens came loose. but i opened the acmera and tighntened it up again, but the light meter seems to hard to try and fix. I never use manual exposure.

Hi had the same problem with my 6080. It fell from a table and apparently suffered no problem, but in a short time the lightmeter got stuck and couldn't be got moving by manual aperture setting either.
Diagnosis from a specialised Nizo technician: replacement of the iris servo motor and some IC's; cost: over 250 Euro. But the rest of the camera is minty, so...
UNfortunately Nizo's are excellent camera performancewise, but they are sort of fragile eletronically speaking.
Good luck

Hi, Beauleiu cameras are great, 4008zm11 with 8-64 or 6-80
angeneiux lens, can get them serviced in Sweden.. What you need to consider is if you buy a Beaulieu you will probably need to renew the nicad battery, more expense straight away, then perhaps have the camera serviced or checked out making sure the lens back focus is correct for the camera..
Whats your budget for a camera?
Try also considering a canon 814xls or canon 1014xls in terms of reliability they are excellent..

yeh, ive read a lot about finding battery packs or making them for beaulieus. The canon 1014 does look good, but the idea of a ground glass focussing on the beaulieu is very appealing, the 2008 looks good. i dont want to spend more than £200 though.

cant download the picture or description.. regarding the 2008
only had a week 4.8volt battery i did have one but not for long...5008s are quite underated a real solid camera and runs reasonably quiet...Again from what i have learnt the hard way over the years, any camera with an interchangeable lens,i would advise to get the lens back focus checked for the camera you are using it on... I have recently purchased a Beauleiu, its gone to sweden for a service etc before i have even put a film thru the camera.
