Eumig service

Eumig service
Does anybody know a good service adress for my Nautica? It needs fresh lubrication and, if possible, the modification to 24fps.
Searching through this forum I found this guy who told that he sent his camera to a guy in Austria, but he never revealed to whom.
Thanks,
- Mathis

Sorry I can't find the zip code, but the above should suffice.
Good luck!

Landsberger, awesome lead. Although I could not find any reference to Super-8 on the Bolex website, I did get a positive response from them to my email. (I guess we can thank 16mm for this service opportunity.)

I was hoping for the $250-275.00 range. Perhaps they would give a quantity repair discount? However, if I had the money available I would not hesitate to start sending my fleet of Eumigs.
I guess I have another goal for the upcoming year!

Well, it looks like my hopes were met!
If I have three cameras to send in for servicing the price drops to $250 a camera! (I think that included shipping also!)
Now if I can just raise the funds.
You guys who live near this place are frickin lucky. The perception I get from their emails is these guys really know what they are doing and they have the original parts.
Way cool.

I had a talk with Mr. Ratgeb at Fotoreparatur Helmut Mayrhofer and I was told that Mr. Mayrhofer is retired but he still does jobs like this. Also spare parts and calibrating equipment is still there.
Unfortunatly Mr. Mayrhofer has to go to hospital for the next 4-6 weeks so nothing quick is possible.

Mr. Ueter is definitely a nice guy and sending the camera to Bolex seems the best solution. I was a bit shocked about 390$ but then I thought about the weak dollar and the high shipping and so for me in Europe it will be below 200 Euros.
And to respond to Gary: 24fps is very well possible, add another 50 Euros.

To finish my story: I thought my camera needs fresh oil which I didn´t want to apply myself. Since I would have sent my camera to Bolex anyway I decided I risk looking inside myself. I found some quite corroded contacts on the main switch which I cleaned with a graphite pen. Seemed to work fine again afterwords and today I flawlessly shot three cardridges.
Now hopefully the metering system was OK...

nautica stuff
8O
hi ya, guys...
i was the guy ages ago, that got 3 eumig nauticas serviced in austria..
my advice is wait for Helmut Mayrhofer..
he did an amazing job servicing plus changed the speeds to 24 fps...
he then tested cameras in pressure chamber and discovered, 1 cam had a hairline crack which would of leaked big time..
he is a bit slow but at 120 euros per camera i am not complaining..
i believe he is quite old now ,but a german stills camera guy in london was trained up by mayrhofer..25years ago...
so he has been around a bit...
cheers..
