minolta autopak d10: anyone have thoughts on these?

Post by goya »

I came across a Minolta D10 in a thrift store in case with all the bells and whistles.

Before I pick it up, I was wondering if anyone in here uses this camera and what your thoughts were on whether it's a reliable buy.

Thx.

I have a Minolta Autopak-8 K11 which is a great camera that I use all the time. I don't know about the D10 though...

The camera is excellent. Has the feel of a solid rock. The camera does have a few feature flaws. It does not have full manual exposure. It does have +/- exposure adjustment as well as exposure lock so it has some flexability. Also the grip is locked in the outward position which makes this camera a nightmare to keep stable on a tripod. Lastly it has microprism focussing which I personally hate. The improved but very rare D12 changed the grip so that is folds up and they added full manual exposure control, split-image focussing and lap-dissolve.
