Does anyone know hi8 frame rate?

Post by Gorilla »

I know its not 8mm but I need to know what the standard frame rate is for a Hi8 video player and also what the audio is 44 or 48 mhz or what? can you help me ?

I'm burning some Hi8 video to DVD and found my audio to be out of sync the video the audio was behind the vidoe and out of an hour the delay was worse the farther into it I got.

Much thanks

Hi8 like any standard analog video it is either 29.97 [NTSC land - North America and Japan] or 25 [PAL - Europe].

The sound is analog, thus, sampling rate of 44.1 or 48mhz does not apply.

Audio will need to be encoded at 48kHz for use with DVD.

The audio is recorded at 44.1 and thus imported into Premiere; you have to output it at 48 for the DVD project
