Help! Is this what I am looking for?

Post by Meltwater Hawk »

got a question for all of you out there. I own a Canon 512XL, and it does not unfortunately have a time lapse function on it. Would this little diddy on Ebay help me accomplish it or am I hoping for something which just isn't there?

I don't have a lot of hands on experience with the 512 but from what I can remember this should work. It plugs into the electronic remote jack. I have used one on an 814 electronic and I think the 512 should be compatible, though I could be wrong.

Thanks for the response. I will email the seller to see if this is how it works.

Yep. The manual for my Canon 512XL Electronic shows that exact "Canon Interval Timer E" as an optional accessory.

ANY Interval timer will work. The Canon timer is over priced and does not offer anything as sophisticated as a Hama interval timer which sells dirt cheap.

Hi there

You can also build one. I'm using an velleman interval kit to build one for my 514 xls. Search this forum for another thread about Velleman kits
