Nizo Lightmeter not moving

Post by stevefromNewcastle »

:(
I have just bought a Nizo professional of ebay, I did all the checks with the seller, he said he had checked everything without film in and it worked.
BUT the light meter is not moving in any situation, even the battery test, as well as that the power loom doesn't work, but I can live without that.

Everything on the camera seems in good condition, any ideas as what could be wrong with the light meter, is it possible the needle is just jammed?, and are there any small repairs I could do?
Thanks for any advice.

I know its wrong to assume ["When you assume you make...], but I think you just got hosed by the German reseller [Mr Alex Peters?] and half a dozen user name in Ebay.

Nizo is known to be snesitive. To get the Nizo fix is not cheap. I would either ask for money back and get yourself Canon 1014E or XL-S or even the Canon 814 XL-S, or ask him to repair it, but he will cliam that it is "Sold as is."

:) :) :)
After emailing the seller and getting assurances the light meter and zoom worked, I opened up the case, and gentle looked around, after an hour I gave the light meter housing a good tape with the screwdriver, and it now works, yeah.
The zoom also works, which is strange, a happy ending (as long as the film comes out alright)
