nizo ultrawide typeIII question

Post by peterson »

hello everybody,
I wanted to ask a simple question about the UWL adapter...
I own a nizo 801 (not macro) and beaulieu 4008 zm.
I need to find out any wide angle lens (or adapter) but I am not really sure whether I will get in focus without the macro function on the nizos lens??? I thing I won´t..
I know the adapter is plastic..is there anything more "solid" ?? I would prefer glass!!
Is there any wide angle lens for the beaulieu ( I mean the whole lens with aperture settings), that would fit it?? any recomendations for a still camera fish eye + adapter???

thank you

You need a macro function to use the UWL III. I don't know if you might be able to use it in combination with one of the Nizo screw-on close up lenses - Anyone?

Yes it's plastic and yes it scratches easily.
what what

Canon C-8. Widely available in eBay. there are 4 of them right now.

for c-mount, there is the Angenieux 5.9mm, Kinoptik, Cinegon available all less than 10mm. Then there are the Angeneiux and Schneider zooms that starts with 6mm.

thank you,
Iĺl try the Canon adaptor..I would need the macro master lens anyway...the close up lens I have got is 1,5-0,72m- it wouldnt fit I guess!!

I know the angenieux5,9mm has the deep rear element that would damage the mirror shutter when screwed in???..how could I solve that???

Wow, I'm glad somebody brought this up.

I've wanted that wide adapter for the Nizo, but the price seems silly; another one just went on ebay for $200 USD!

The C-8 looks like a much better idea. It is glass, after all, isn't it?
