best projector/dv cam tips for home telecining

hello all

i wanted to know what is the best projector to screen distance when trying to transfer projected super8 footage onto my dv cam.

any other tips on the subject would be greatly appreciated.

Have a look on telecinema articless on this site.
It depends if you are in 60 or 50 Hz coutry.
Anyway, use a neutral gray paper as a screen (and not a white one) for a lower contrast. and a variable spped projector to avoid flicker. Or use clearscan device on a professionnal camcorder. I think Canon XM2 got clearscan : good for Super 8 users...

thx for the tip about the telecine article on this site. i completely overlooked it because i never pay attention to the top banner and only use the side navigation, little did i know i was missing out on a good portion of the site's content!
