old 200ft magazines..anybody got one and made it reloadable?
Moderator: Andreas Wideroe
hey andre, thanks for the info on the magazine reload info but no thanks for the stupid behaviour.firslty, its possible you dont quite understand english as well as you think you do making you misread what people say. if this is true then i can understand that. otherwise you are a jerk. in fact i have now had three people tell me how you act like an idiot. im sure you will disagree with me on that and say im lying, so how about an anonymous poll as to whether people think you act like an idiot or not? ill put myself on that poll too. so either get the guts and find out, or shut up.

Some example of crooked logic here.francis wrote:hey andre,

Or schoolyard behaviour for that matter.
Considering the numerous personal thank you notes for information and time spent on public and private advice. And further active personal contacts outside the forum I give little value to the opinion of your friends.
Also your using foul language is not really an accepted forum thing or a good demonstration of your skills in a foreign language.
Kind regards,
André

wow.aj: You might want to check the pictures of this plattino guy on the webpage.
francis: ok, where is this website with diagrams?
aj: By the way, you have got a nerve ! You are too lazy to answer your PMs or postings and I am supposed to spend many hours for your convenience drawing up a webpage with instructions.

That is nice. There are already people working on chisseling 50ft standard or sound cartridges. Also a DS8 perforator is still in the works. Now we can expect new 200ft cartridges too?csven wrote:francis, i'm interested in knowing more about that third "worthless" 200ft mag. really only want to study it and document it in CAD. can you tell us more about it?
You can buy them through eBay. Nothing special about that.

André

see the bold part in my first comment? do you understand the words "study" and "document"? stop jumping to conclusions about what you think i plan to do. it's rude.aj wrote:That is nice. Do not let your responses be pre-programmed by other people suggestive remarks. My understanding of english is sufficient for the forum messages. It is not the James Joyce write-alikes here.csven wrote:

Most people study and document to do something with the gained knowledge.
Your are better off studying the Beaulieu SD drive or the supermag400 thing. If it comes available, ever.

hey mate, not sure what you want to know. i take it you want the mag so you can tear it apart and make a new one? interesting...im not sure what the guy is going to do with it. i think hes going to try and have meg tmy service guy to make it reloadable. i have a contact that may have many empty mags. if this is so and you want one ill do my best to get you one. hows that?
about that andre guy, is he a dumbass or what? talk about verbal flatulation. his wording is also kinda like a cheap robot in a no budget scifi movie. if we ignore him he/it might even continue the comedy of errors in his posts. hopefully!

First foul mouthing. Now we get death wishes.
Really promotional correspondance and behaviour for the cause of DS8 or other activities. So gentleman-like and invitational too.
Could lead people to think DS8 is only good for snuff movies.
Nice long running time while the story develops without interruption.

some people seem to think i have "plans". assume i don't know about others doing this stuff. assume i don't know about eBay (as if anyone into small gauge film doesn't know eBay). assume i need unsolicited advice on that. and assume i'm stupid because it's "nothing special". etc etc.francis wrote:hey mate, not sure what you want to know. i take it you want the mag so you can tear it apart and make a new one? interesting...im not sure what the guy is going to do with it. i think hes going to try and have meg tmy service guy to make it reloadable. i have a contact that may have many empty mags. if this is so and you want one ill do my best to get you one. hows that?

fact is, i have no plans whatsoever. i've never seen one, although i purchased my 6080 new back in the 80's and have considered it on occasion. right now i just want to look at it. yes, take it apart, but hopefully without damaging it (if that's possible).
i do alot of 3D CAD - both professionally and for fun - so documenting the form shouldn't take much time and might be worthwhile. i could probably do it in a few hours or a day. thinking i could output a set of 2D drawings and post jpegs for community use. something along those lines.
that's it. nothing special. in spite of what some people imagine.
