going, going, gone!
Just found this totally dangerous ebay shop:
http://stores.ebay.de/Blende-16_W0QQcol ... ayZ2QQtZkm
Definitely not for the faint of heart- looks like a camera shop gone out of business or someones amazing collection, but there are huge quantities (30 pages!!) of mostly cine stuff- cameras, projectors, films and its all BUY IT NOW which is the cruelest thing of all because you won't know wether to buy and risk missing something fantastic on the next page, or check that out and miss the thing you wanted  Seriously scary stuff. Its seems pretty cheap and there is so much unusual stuff there- check it out but be warned!!
I stopped after 2 cameras- could have spent a fortune, but its in Germany so watch the postage costs.
Grab a bargain!

Woah, that is a *lot* of 8mm stuff! I held myself back and only picked some smalls (remote cables, intervalometer, projector lenses).
There's some unusual items. 2 Juwel stripers, a gazillion funky projectors (some w. sound synch rollers for reel-to-reel tape), a sync-pulse cassette recorder. Decent prices for splicers and editors too, like Elmo 912 at 19 Euros buy-it-now.
Thanks for sharing the pointer.

801 Macro
Truly, a gazillion funky projectors.
Personally, I couldn't resist that black 801 Macro for 74 EUR...
After all, I already have all those filters and cables and junk...
Now to see if I can find a couple other things to make the shipping worth it. ;-)

Several editors looked promising but with the features I was looking for (sound and motorized) would they work on 120VAC 60Hz, doubtful.

A couple of words of warning...
Sammler means "collector," and I would translate Sammlerstück as "collector's piece." In other words, most of these items are advertised as collector's items rather than functional equipment.
Buy with care, unless you want a shelf full of very beautiful paperweights.

hmm... actually nearly all german auctions have a disclaimer like that these days... that's because there's a new law that you have to give a warranty on used objects too, and in a market like ebay this just doesnt make sense. afterall, you cant expect a 1 year warranty on a 9 euro super8 camera that is 30 years old, can you? ;)reflex wrote:A couple of words of warning...
