(Just download it to your harddrive by using the right button of your mouse)
Total playtime is 2 min 57 seconds. We shot it with Canon 1014 XL-S and Kodachrome 40 film stock and transfered to digital with Workprinter by myself. We edited footage with Premiere.

We used couple halogens (1 kW and 500 W ones) to light scenes. We shot footage during Summer sunny days, that's why I used also 85 filter inside shooting. Unfortunately it made footage a bit yellow, cause practically the main light came from these halogens. Personally I think that look fits the main story very nice anyway.DC wrote: Can I ask how you lit the film? As you know K40 needs tons of light, and there wasn't much under exposure.

Jukka, that was a great short film. It was funny and the sound fx and music were excellent. It both made me laugh (at the end) and HUNGRY!!! Yummy - good food... The look was nice I think.

Thank you guys for your nice feedback!
We did this shortfilm for Schmalfilm Nomos competition. Anyway we didn't succeed in that one, but great thing is we got impulse to do it by that way.
I received yesterday our material back from Schmalfilm with DVD including "26 best films from competition". One thing I cannot understand 100%:ly: In 26 of these films there are many technically and storywise totally poor quality "load and shoot" stuff. Also some of these are without soundtrack/sound effects track, but where is our film? We didn't get any feedback from their side about our shortfilm too, which is sad.
Perhaps the reason is culturical thing, cause we are from Finland. And we did digital editing sending our short to them in DVD and mini-dv in digital format, not edited Super 8 film. Also all films in that DVD seems to be from german talking area and maybe they want basically support Super 8 shooting in Germany (you'll get that idea watching these films) with this competition.
I'm not bitter, I just wonder the whole idea behind the competition.
About our short:
Anyway we have sent this film to other competition and film festivals etc. I hope we'll get more feedback from these ones. And anyway it's great to work with Super 8 (and also 16 mm) and make some little and also bigger projects. All competition things sucks (I have allways thought that way), but great thing about competitions are: you get the impulse and schedule to complete your work.
