Ultrawide Lens
I have a Canon 1410XL-S and I'm getting a Nizo 3 Schneider-Kreuznach Ultrawide Lens. The thing is the Camea's lens is 65 and I need a 67 filter thread or I don't know what, I need to make the lens somehow fit on the Canon 1410XL-S. Any advice?
Strangely enough, the Nizo UWIII has two threads, a 62 and a 67 mm thread. I think the design was so it could work with more than one Nizo model without a step-up ring. But the important part here is that the lens has such a wide angle, that you don't get vignetting with a built in step, so you'll probably be fine using a step-up ring. But just so you know, the UWIII is a plastic lens, so it's not the best. Can you get a Canon for that model?

it's not hard, but it can be time-consuming heheh.. I'm sure you could find one on eBay, but it'd be a long time to find one I guess... try searching for step up 65 67 or whatever comes to your mind..
other than that, look for it in nice photo shops..
the only problem I think you'll find is that 65mm isn't much of a standard when it comes to filter sizes.. so good luck I guess

Okay...sorry to rethink this, but If I'm right, the 65-67mm step-up won't fit on the UWIII because of that 62mm step already on it -- not sure...might fit around it. So I think you may have to get a 65-62 step down ring. You're now getting further from the glass and might have some vignetting problems. Not sure. Maybe someone else has done this and can comment.
On the "is the lens good"...well..I guess it works "good" as long as there aren't scratches, which happen so easily on plastic.

Hello Ivan Gonzales:
I think a Canon 1014XL-S has a 67mm thread
on the front of the lens.
The Canon Wide lens adapter is made to work with
a Canon 1014XL-S when you click the zoom ring
into macro and focus at infinity.
Please let me know if your can properly focus the
Nizo 3 Schneider-Kreuznach Ultrawide Lens
on your Canon 1014XL-S.
