Post by sammm »

I haven't checked in at shooting 8mm in a really long time, and I was wondering what ever happened to our timelapse project from May 2003??

When will I recieve my copy of the completed 2003 timelapse project, my copy of the compiled raw footage, and my original contribution on super 8?

Looks like the date is Dec 1, according to the home page of this site.

What happened to the 2003 Timelapse project?????????????????

The home page announces a release date that appears to be only for the 2004 Timelapse project. The last news posted at the link for the 2003 Timelapse project is from May 3rd and simply says:

"The film is almost finished! The preview has been approved and is now back with the editor for some minor improvements and corrections. expect a release soon."

That was over 5 months ago. What has happened to our beloved community project between then and now--if anything? Have any participants recieved their final copy, submitted roll of film and compiled raw footage? Can somebody tell me what's going on?

The final film and DVD, including last year's project, is scheduled to be finished by Dec 1st.
check out the part between the commas, starting with including and ending with project. i'm not involved so don't hold me responsible, but that's what it says. :-)

I'm excited too. I can't wait to see the best parts of my admittedly-somewhat-boring-but-nevertheless-really-fun-firstever-attempt-at-time-lapse-footage edited together with the doubtless more exciting footage from more experienced folks from around the world. :D

Plus, seeing the results of the 2003 cooperative effort that I didn't participate in will be an added bonus.

Sorry guys, but I haven't heard from the editor for about a half year. Therefore I'm going to do the finish on the film. I'm really sorry it has taken so long, but all the material and tapes are here. You WILL get them back. Don't worry about that.
