What is Bell&Howell-Canon DS8

Post by geffen »

I've spotted one of these sitting on a shelf in a local pawnshop.
It's a beauty and I'm trying to persuade the owner to sell it to me, but he won't :(
Looks like it's just been taken out of the box.

Can't find any info about it on the net though.
Any info anyone? Picture maybe?

it looks like Kodak's brownie and is olive green on sides.

Nope...
It says on the camera: Bell&Howell and underneath: Canon. Both above the lense.
I'll try to take a picture of it tomorrow and post here.

Ahh yes. Some of them are labeled Bell & Howell/Canon where as others just say Canon. Same camera. Its a Regular 8 camera and a nice one at that.

I think it needs on of those APX1 replacement batteries for the meter. I actual just ordered one today for my Canon 512.

Check the Canon Camera Museum online for complete specs.
