The 8mm.filmshooting.com subdomain will be phased out. Please access Filmshooting through http://www.filmshooting.com.

If the auto login doesn't work anymore, do this:

(Internet Explorer)

1. Tools, Internet Options
2. Under General, click Delete Cookies
3. Log in to the forum again and tick the Log me on automatically each visit box.

Thanks,
Andreas

i've been curious for years why auto login only works on windows ie and not even all of those? i thought the feature was broken until i used a computer at work once and realized i didn't have to log in, but then i used the computer next to it, which has a more or less duplicated hard drive (they are maintained remotely) and i had to login every time, even after logging out from the first and making sure the "remember login" box was checked on the second. on my mac the auto login never works on either safari nor firefox, so i just have my bookmark point to the login page and use auto fill for the fields. one extra click is ok, but also slightly annoying.

update: it works now, even on macs. made me wonder what i did wrong before. what happens is that if you point your bookmark to the login page, no cookie is ever set, so the login can't be saved, but if you have your bookmark pointing at the vieforum page you do get a cookie and if you click login from there it gets saved. thank you god, christoph and andreas.

It had always worked for me on a mac on either ie or safari. Until yesterday that is. Now I have to login everytime even if I have the box clicked. What happened to mine?

i think it has to do with which address you use and which page you enter the site on. i used 8mm.filmshooting.com before, when i really should have been using http://www.8mm... and i was going directly to the login page instead of the viewforum page. if you make sure you delete all cookies for this site, then go to viewforum.php?f=1 and click login from there you'll have the cookies set up correctly again.
