Well, I could easily find my self caring less than before, regardless of context.

But, in fact, it does to quite a few, Mattias. People here seem to like it and I get positive emails all the time about it. Are they simply wrong?

Frankly, a little humility would serve you much more effectively than arrogantly telling people their opinion is wrong, especially about a clip that you then decree is too small for anyone to make a judgement on in the first place! Would that not include you? I mean, for all you know, it could have been shot on a Nizo. And even if the clip only looks great because it's small, it is still a great looking clip! That's why I posted it! :)

I dont have time to read thtough the rest of page 2... so here's more of my 2cents :) I havent been on this forum very long but for the amount of time I have been on it, I have decided that I really don't care for mattias. As he seems to be very knowledgable on the subject, he seems to be overly rude and obnoxious in his posts (as many knowledgable ppl tend to do). I think it's kinda of funny tho, because on the http://www.fxhome.com boards (where they are very Pro-Video) there is someone that goes by the Alias "Aculag" who is EXACTLY EXACTLY EXACTLY like mattias so it seems every board has them. :)

Furthermore, arguing online is dumb...cuz no one ever stops or backs down... ..

ANYWHO

Wow that seemed like a really nice high quality super 8 clip and if my footage can come out anything like that then I think I am gonna love super 8 forever :). Damn that's awesome

Also there are companies that have bought my equipment and now claim it to be their own invention, as well. I hate to do it but I may have to create a "Hall of Shame" page that notes companies making fraudulent claims like this just to protect my reputation......
Roger, Here's one example you might enjoy.

the purpose of arguing online is to have fun, not to get results or make anyone "back down".

and i despise people who judge art by the artist. i'm not accusing you of that though -- yet.

i still don't see why that's an important part of the equation, except maybe if they do they need to be told what i have to say even more, not less.

Art may be found. If so, it is rare. More frequently, it is the purposeful design of the conscious, thinking, feeling artist. His or her own creation, from nothing or from all, giving the nod perhaps to the watchmaker and not to the autocrat.

Or perhaps it is only our perceptions that differentiate art from the mundane, or from clever artifice.

MovieStuff wrote:They did not do that transfer. It was done here in the states by a gentleman preserving his films for his own family, not a company. They simply stole the film (grrrrrr). I can not find any record of having sold this company a WorkPrinter. I can't read Polish so I don't know what the rest of the site says but I an assure you they are not being honest about this if they claim this to be one of their own transfers or if they claim to have a WorkPrinter. Frankly, this is becoming more and more of a problem for me. .......................
I don't understand what is the problem with this page. At the top of page is wrotten that this is only information about different methods of transferring 8mm. There are also links to the original pages. So the film wasn't stolen, it was put only for information and this is clearly wrotten. There is also no sign of information that this firm uses Workprinter or this is their transfer.

Frankly, I'm surprised you'd bother to make a distinction, since you seem to despise everyone, already.

More to the point, I can like your work but find myself not bothering to look at it if I find the disdain you have for other people's opinion to be insulting. Why should I give you my opinion about your work, even if I like it, if I feel you don't value my opinion or that it isn't worthy? Or is it that any positive opinions about your work are justified but any other opinions regarding the work of others must meet your approval? That's certainly how it seems.

And I'm supposed to care? If only your "people skills" were on par with your technical skills, you'd realize just how pointless that statement really is.

How obtuse can you get? Thanks for validating everything I just wrote.

these forums are good for people. they have helped me recognize who i have been, and who i want to become, and how to be content with who i am. unlike face to face relations, these words are a testiment of who we are and how we either affect or infect people. by nature of our upbringing, we are more apt to fight and cause negative disruption upon others, then we are to understand, and accept, and forgive and move on. we are more apt to condem and lock away one who is suffering more then we are, as they have less understanding then we. instead, it should be painfully obvious that these people need MORE help and attention then what we needed, or what we currently need, or what we have once needed. we change, and to say we are the same person as we were yesterday, is to buy into politics and religion, and completely avoid the TRUTH.

people do mean things for reasons, and these reasons are mainly related to their conditional upbringing and influenced childhood. as bad as i have now understood my own to be, and livign through all of the pain and desctruction and suffering i have caused for myself and upon others, i am saddened when i see or recognize other people who obviously have suffered more then i. if your parents hit you as a child, then you will hit as an adult ... if a child is condemed, then as an adult he will ridicule. cause and effect. when we leave the nest, the question at that point is ... how long will it take us to actually find ourselves? how much influenced and conditional luggage are we having to carry? and to what degree and in what period of time does it take for us to understand this? and in understanding this, how long does it take to embody it, and truthfully wear one's skin as they so desire? and how long after that does it take for us to then apply this same application to others, and understnad what other people are suffering?

i am very pleased with forums like this ... because it gives me the oppertunity to recognize who i have been or who i have become, and therefore understand the differances between those things and who i really am, or who i so desire to be. humilty and proper use and application of pride is something we must leanr and understand, and then earn ... it is not something we can embody overnight. i am thankful i am not the same person that i was when i first posted on this forum, because that person was not who i so desire to be, but was who i became as a result of not having good mentors, good parents, good influences, and so on. not to say the entire sum of my influenced life was bad, becuase it was not ... but indeed i was not born perfect unto myself, and i was most certainly not raised under perfection. this is something i attain, and day by day i earn it, and make pasaage into the next moment as a result. i have hurt people on this site by nature of who i have been or what i had become ... and many other people have and will do the same thing. and until each person comes to a point of understanding of them own selves, then so shall this infliction continue. but alas, we change, and have the free will to do so, for better, and for worse.

Then let's have some more fun! Please explain why tiny web clips are too small for anyone but you to make judgements about?
